- 1 cup dried chopped plums
- ½ cup raisins
- ½ cup dried chopped apricots
- ½ cup candied orange peel
- ½ cup orange juice
For Make Batter:
- 1½ cup all purpose flavor
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp cinnamon powder
- ¼ tsp nutmeg powder
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 large size whole eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup of milk
- ½ cup chopped almond or walnut
• Instructions for Recipe:
Step 1: Soak the Fruits
- Soak dried plums, raisins, apricots in bowl.
- Pour orange juice on over the mix.
- Cover and soak atleast 12 hours.
Step 2: Prepare Baking Pan
- Take a baking pan and cover with parchment paper.
Step 3: Preheat Oven
- Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F)
Step 4: Mix all dry ingredients
- Take a bowl and sift flavor, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove powder mix all.
Step 5: Cream butter and sugar
- Take a large bowl, butter and brown sugar until light & fluffy with hand or mixer.
Step 6: Adding eggs and Vanilla
- Beat egg once at a time in vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
Step 7: Mix wet and dry ingredient
- Mix dry ingredients slowly in butter. Milk is best for smooth batter.
Step 8: Add soaked nuts & fruits
- Remove all soaked fruits if needed. Add chopped almonds and nuts for better texture.
Step 9: Baking the Cake
- Transfer the batter into pan. Bake 50-60 minutes. Bake properly.
